The talk will discuss map-based localization for event-cameras. In particular the talk will discuss the case of pre-created maps of different modalities, in particular Lidar-maps and maps created using RGB cameras. The first part of the talk will consider the case of localizing an event-camera in a Lidar-map by calculating multi-modal optical flow between depth-maps and event-frames. The second talk will consider the case of localization using a Gaussian splat created from an RGB camera by optimizing a cost function that measures the alignment between a measured event frame and an event-frame created by the Gaussian splat.
