Rapid expansions in AI technologies and data availability are transforming the economy while providing new tools for economic analysis. The Zurich Workshop in AI & Applied Economics brings together economists interested in (1) adapting AI tools – e.g. machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision – in empirical economics, or (2) empirical economic analysis of AI technologies. Co-organized by ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, the workshop provides a platform for discussion and feedback on current work at the intersection of these fields. The workshop is by registration only and not open to the public.
